Free Taxi ride tonight.

taxididdy.jpgDiddy, Diddy, Diddy...

Mr.Sean Combs in partnership with the New York City taxi and limousine commission, Ciroc vodka premium and E! Entertainment are giving the city party goers a free ride tonight. OK actually it's like this.

They will give away thousands of debit cards, valued up to $15, in high-traffic New York City locations for use in one of the city's 13,000-plus taxicabs on New Year's Eve, so party goers can get home safely.

I think it's a wonderful idea, everyone takes a sip on New year eve's and sometimes more than a sip. No one wants to be the designated driver, so Diddy being New York's party king and Ciroc that he endorses are doing a great thing. They might save many lives and are promoting the idea of NOT drinking and driving. I love it!

DMX is clearing up all his warrants to start a fresh new year. I hope that they send him to detox and that he gets sober and resume his acting career. That's right, I like him way more as an actor as oppose to a rapper.

AP
DMX pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a misdemeanor count of animal cruelty, a felony count of theft and one count each of felony possession of marijuana and a narcotic drug. He's expected to sentenced on Jan. 30.

Martin Luther King website owned by KKK

mlk.jpgATLANTA, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- The heirs of slain U.S. civil rights leader Martin Luther King say there's not much they can do about a white supremacist group's use of "martinlutherking.org."

The Web site, which is among the highest-ranked results for Google search engine queries on King's name, is operated by the white supremacist group Stormfront, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.

The group devotes the Web site's pages to rehashing allegations of plagiarism and adultery and accuses King of fraud, claiming he was not a "legitimate reverend" or "bona fide Ph.D." The newspaper says the site also urges visitors to learn about civil rights by reading the work of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.

Isaac Newton Farris Jr., King's nephew and head of the non-profit King Center in Atlanta, told the newspaper that free speech guarantees allow Stormfront to use say what it pleases about King, as long as it doesn't use his name in Web site address, which it avoids by not using "Jr." "You can't stop people from having opinions," Farris said. "If people think my uncle was adulterous and didn't have a Ph.D., we can't do anything about that."

According to Dancehall Mobi, the police found his vehicle scrapped on Walters Crescent in Waltham Park.

According to his family, David had been recently deported from Canada, he applied and was approved for a waiver that would allow him to go to Canada and visit his new born daughter.

I know that most people will say Beenie Man and D'Angel should be voted hottest couple of the year because they are still husband and wife. But keep it real and tell me what you think, who makes the best looking couple?

Also do you think that Bar-Bee got with Beenie for her career, and if so did D'Angel too? Remember when Beenie and D'Angel first started dating everyone was saying many things because she allegedly was dating Bounty first. They accused her of everything as they did Bar-bee.

ande.jpgCherine Anderson is having an amazing year, she has performed all over the world this year, has been on late night talk shows and now is ending this year with an historical moment.

Cherine Anderson will be performing at the inaugurations celebrations (Jan 19th and 20th 2009) for 44th President elect Obama. The song that she will be performing is appropriately called "Barack Obama".

I sort of wish they had invited Cocoa Tea but none the less I am looking forward to see this performance. Though in my eyes "Cherine" will always be the daughter of the "Dancehall Queen" push cart vendor, her amazing voice and performance with Reggae Rocker "Michael Frenti" caught the eye of the Obama camp.

President elect Obama will be sworn in on January 20th 2009 and will make history as the first ever African American man elected to the highest office.

Sting 2008, the 25th anniversary was an historic one indeed. Thousands of people were in anticipation of this year's show dubbed "the settlement of all argument". the promoters of sting decided to return to the theme of lyrical warfare and this year's battles were to be fought by Monsta Hemp Higher vs Kiprich, Merciless vs Ninja Man, Bounty Killer vs Beenieman and the epic battle was to be between portmore empire's Vybz Kartel and The Alliance's Mavado. The show started with numerous performances from many talented up and coming artist who gave glimpses of what to expect from them in the months and years to come, Followed by some rising stars more popularly known. The nights tone was set from early, the crowd gave their love to those the were feeling and made it quite clear as to who they were not with and onslaught of booing and clapping.

Kitt.jpgeartha.jpgWorldFlavas.com and WorldFlavasRadio.com would like to extend their heartfelt and sincere condolences to the family and friends of "Eartha Mae Kitt". She died at the age of 81 of colon cancer.

NewYork Associated Press

Eartha Kitt, a sultry singer, dancer and actress who rose from South Carolina cotton fields to become an international symbol of elegance and sensuality, has died, a family spokesman said. She was 81.

Andrew Freedman said Kitt, who was recently treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, died Thursday in Connecticut of colon cancer.

Kitt, a self-proclaimed "sex kitten" famous for her catlike purr, was one of America's most versatile performers, winning two Emmys and nabbing a third nomination. She also was nominated for several Tonys and two Grammys.

Her career spanned six decades, from her start as a dancer with the famed Katherine Dunham troupe to cabarets and acting and singing on stage, in movies and on television. She persevered through an unhappy childhood as a mixed-race daughter of the South and made headlines in the 1960s for denouncing the Vietnam War during a visit to the White House.

Through the years, Kitt remained a picture of vitality and attracted fans less than half her age even as she neared 80.

It's Matterhorn Again - "Recession Blame"

Tonymatterhorn.jpg(Kingston, Jamaica)

Easily one of the most popular dancehall disc jockeys in the world, the self proclaimed "Man From Mars" Tony "mentally ill" Matterhorn is back and this time its not a daggering song for the girls but more a conscious social commentary on the currently global recession.

The single dubbed "Recession Blame" showed up on a number of entertainment blogs recently and has been getting some intro rotation on radio. It also finds Matterhorn up to his usual antics as far as lyrical delivery is concerned, one line in particular that does due diligence to the crisis goes, "Running to the river but the well gone dry, stocks going down with everyday gone by, falling off a cliff you think you nah gonna fly, you will neva make it, yes we can but they gonna try".

Matterhorn who has always managed to maintain a presence amongst dancehall artists is no stranger to hit making, this after his "Dutty Wine" single erupted worldwide spawning a dance frenzy across mainstream cultures in Japan, U.S, Canada and the Caribbean.

Mr.Vegas performing to record breaking crowds in Kenya

Press Release:

veg.jpg

For the second time in his vibrant career, Mr. Vegas embarked on a journey to "The Motherland" of Africa to headline the mega-concert "Generation Jipange" in Nairobi, Kenya. There, the popular singjay delivered his hits to nearly 70,000 people. According to officials, this was the largest event of its kind to take place in Kenya. When Mr. Vegas graced the stage, he was moved by the massive audience. Backed by Thugz band, Mr. Vegas proceeded to deliver a set of his hits to fans -- jumpstarted by strong performances of "Hot It Up" and "Hot Gal Today." Mr. Vegas followed his chart-toppers with a medley of Reggae favorites, which invigorated the youth. He was later joined on stage by over-the-top dancer Boricia. The crowd went wild as Boricia displayed the latest dancehall moves in the most eccentric fashion. Clearly, the Kenyan youth embraced the "dance" in dancehall music.
By the immense turn out, it was clear to see Mr. Vegas' reach and the universal power of Reggae music. "Generation Jipange" refers to a new youth movement in Kenya centered on empowering youth to stay healthy, pursue education/employment and be positive. The free, day-long concert, which took place at Nairobi's Uhuru Gardens, was filled to capacity as early as 8:00 AM. The event was televised by Kenyan networks. In addition to Mr. Vegas, the concert had at least 14 other acts on the bill -- including popular Kenyan artist Jua Cali. Mr. Vegas and Boricia "This was such a great experience...and it was great to return home," says Mr. Vegas. "I was truly honored to be part of an event to motivate Kenyan youth." Mr. Vegas' billing at "Generation Jipange" marks his second time performing in Africa and the largest performance of his career.
It was the singjay's respected summer stint in Uganda that made him a prime candidate to headline the Kenyan concert. Inevitably, the well publicized and attended "Generation Jipange" concert granted Mr. Vegas with high visibility. It won't be surprising when Mr. Vegas becomes a household name in Africa. Plans are underway for Mr. Vegas to again perform in "The Motherland" early next year. It's been a year of worldwide magnitude for Mr. Vegas, as he has been blessed with opportunities to entertain thousands of people across the globe. Aside from the record-breaking crowd in Kenya, the dancehall favorite has thoroughly captivated colossal crowds in Japan (40,000 people) and Guyana (28,000).

Shaggy and Sean Paul in Rwanda

The genocide in Rwanda of 1994 killed approximately 1 million Tutsi. The story behind the hate between the majority Hutu and minority upper class Tutsi dates back to the colonial times. It is a long story that if you are interested in learning more you can goggle, lol. I shed a little laughter because it is a story close to my heart. My mother is a Tutsi from Rwanda, even though she left many years ago, some of our family was still there. They all died at the hands of Hutu killers. Details are too gruesome to get into, but the country has rebuilt itself and a new hope is breathing.

Shaggy and Sean Paul recently performed to a sold out crown at the national arena. They also visited the memorials and learned more of the history.

Remember when Akon threw a fan off the stage? View clip if you never saw it. Well of course he was charged by the police for harassment and plead guilty.
He was found guilty in the Fishkill Town Court and will serve no jail time, but he has to pay a $250 fine and 65 hours of community service.
After the plea, Akon apologized to the family and to his fan. Now all that is said and done, how much do you want to bet that there was another $$$ settlement with this kid, otherwise they'd already be in civil court. Wonder how much for getting tossed?

Jason Lyrics - Artist On The Brink

Jason_lyrics.jpgJason Lyrics has been steadily giving us quality music since he appeared on the scene. Known to be a go getter, Jason Lyrics has not wasted any time waiting on someone else to decide his faith. The first 2 singles he commercially released were self produced and financed and he has not stopped since. Some of his recent projects have been on Delly Rank's Shooter Riddim with a song called " she's a shooter", The Shark Teeth Riddim with " See dem haters ",
"In my life" on the Warhead Riddim released this year
and his first ever mixed cd entitled" So much Flava" which if you search this site, you should find a download link for.

Jason Lyrics has has been doing some crazy remixes. He did a remix to Shaggy's Church Heathen and the song got so much plays on underground radio stations as well as mainstream, Jason Lyrics was contacted by someone from Big Yard Music Group asking him to pull back on promoting the song. We managed to get a copy of the some with Shaggy which you can listen below. Two of his remixes have been gaining so much momentum, they have been appearing on Hot 97FM and 93.5FM in New York and other major urban radio stations in other states and countries.

I predict if Jason Lyrics continue on this path, and the right people in his corner to guide and nuture his blossoming career, he is bound to gain huge success.

malaika.jpgDear Malaika,

Thank you for taking the time to read of my problem, I know that usually it's only ladies that write to you, but as a man I am at a real lost here.

I am a good man to my woman, and also a good dad. My children are not with the woman that I live with. I have been faithfull to this woman while she was sorting her life out with her ex. You see when we started to fall in love she was still living with her man and was going back and forth lying to him, many times she lied to me too, she brought a lot of drama and hurt to my life, but finally I won and have the girl.

The issue is that she said some things about my kids that really opened up my eyes. Her kids don't live with us, they live with their dad and so she is very miserable because of that. We are 2 different people but I respect that fact. My children are grown, they are teenagers and It's hard for me to have a woman come into our lives after being alone with me for so many years. I already raised my kids and my woman always comments on my fatherly skills. We both grew up very differently and she can not accept that my parental values are not the same as hers.

I see how she is with her kids, well from what I hear when she is on the phone with them, and even though I don't agree, I don't coment because I didn't raise them so it's not my place. Recently she said that my kids were destructive and spoiled, and that I want to be their friends more than a parent. She said many other things that can never be taken back, so what do I do now?

bob.jpgI swear Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston are still a mess, so last week a rumour was circulating that the 2 were getting back together, but a rep for Whitney Houston said no way!.

So now Bobby Brown as a book coming out on his life, and of course a tell all of him and the Mrs.

Bobby first wrote the book when Whitney kicked him out and he needed money, but just as many people regret what they do in a fit of anger, Bobby now has second thoughts. Unfortunately the money was spent, the book published and hopefully according to MediaTakeOut the book will be out next week.

Here are some juicy parts of it:

Bobby on why Janet Jackson broke up with him
I was telling her that I loved her and wanted her to leave [her former husband Renee Elizondo] ... She told me she couldn't and that her family wouldn't allow her to be with a Black man.

Bobby on how Janet turned him into an alcoholic
Before I met Janet I would never drink hard liquor, I only drank beer. But after our break up, I started drinking hard liquor abundantly.

That's why there are so many website dedicated to all fetishes, I even understand the need to videotape yourself, but for the love of God I really don't get this right here. If you really pay attention you will notice that bouncing up and down got this gentleman..uh..happy! I guess he turned off the webcam to handle his business.

Fresh off his month long tour of France dancehall artiste Slash has reportedly stamped his mark on the European country. Slash who hails from Portmore returned to Jamaica on Monday after making his way through clubs in Belgium and Paris among other locations. Tired but still up to share his experiences Slash summarized the tour in his own words.

"Well the people responded well to the music, they accepted me in a way that I was even surprise about, I was performing for 40 - 50 minutes and there was a vibe straight through my sets. I got major forwards for songs like "Hate Me For" but overall everyone was receptive. The ladies supported me alot, females filled the clubs most of the time and it was just crazy, I remember when I was in Belgium Demarco was there doing a show and him called me up and I just done the place. I gave each show a great performance and I've already sealed up some other dates for next year, I can see a portion of that market for me so I'm working to maintain that".

Advice with Malaika

malaika.jpgHey girl Malaika,

I really hope that you can help me, I have not talked to my girlfriends about this because I am ashamed and I don't want them to look at me a way. I am in a relationship with a very nice man, we have our ups and downs like everyone but mostly it's good. I don't cheat on him and well, you know you can't swear for no man but I think he is true to me.

The thing is he doesn't seem to want to have sex with me anymore, the only time he f&^ me is when he is backed up, he just f*&^, cums and that's it. Many times I have to finish the job by myself when he goes to shower. I don't know if I turn him off, or what. We use to spend hours in bed sexing, or if we sexed and he was done, he would stay, hold me, kiss me and then make sure I cum too. I am scared to confront him because I don't want to make him feel bad or start an argument. Please help me, what should I do?

jermey.jpgsneaks.jpgJeremy Scott designed a line of athletic wear and sneakers for Adidas. Clothing line starts from $45 to $450, while the sneaker collection varies from $120 to $250. The line is called "Originals for Originals". The shoes will debut in stores on Feb 1st 2009. So this is my question, would you "rock" the shoe with the wings? Honestly? Is your motto "Fashion over style"?

It's kind of hard when an artist comes out of the limelight and tries to make a comeback, this music industry is almost a competition of the next hottest thing, and as the expression goes " far from sight, far from mind". Remember this when you leave your spot, 20 others are waiting to take your place. All this to say that say that Brandy has her 5th album "HUMAN" coming out in December (so she hopes, it's been pushed back a couple of times). Here is the single "Long Distance".
